We took on the running of the Village Centre in 2019 and, through the faithful volunteering of people within the Church, we have continued to provide the facility for about 15 regular users from playgroup to whist clubs and we hope to have a community prayer room established in the centre in the near future.
It has been sad to close our doors to all, or most, of our regular users at various stages of the pandemic. With Covid measures in place the Village Playgroup has been able to continue and that, with the furlough scheme, has meant we have remained solvent.
It has been good to welcome younger groups back from 12 April. We are looking forward to more groups resuming as regulations change again on 17 May and 21 June. Use of the field is increasing which is good.

Werrington Parish Village Centre consists of a large playing field, car park and three buildings (Main Centre & Halls, the Lighthouse Centre & the Scouts and Guides Building), all owned by the Church. Our youth team base has moved to the Lighthouse Centre together with the Way In ministry. The Village Centre is considered one of the Church’s main frontlines in reaching out to the community. Our vision is to be a light in the community through our actions and prayer.
While we are happy to welcome folk to the hall, we are a busy centre (see regular bookings information) and it can be hard to find a slot for new regular bookings. Occasional bookings for events at the weekends are easier to fit in. The bookings secretary is always happy to answer enquiries and help as much as possible. Click here for the latest Hire Charges.
