Prayer Ministry Rota

.

  • Please aim to keep your eyes open.  In 2’s we are watching what The Holy Spirit is doing, tissues needed? Catch the eye of other prayer minister-to nod to encourage or direct their attention etc.
  • Listen to the person, but always try to remember to invite the Holy Spirit to come.  Tell the person that. Then please wait, with eyes open, before beginning to pray. We pause and let the Holy Spirit lead.
  • 2 prayer ministers does not necessarily mean you each have to pray out loud.
  • Times have changed so please always ask permission to lay your hand, touch someone, even if you know them well.  It’s respect for the person and also others may well be watching.  Should the person be feeling vulnerable do they feel able to say “get off.”         It does say this in the guidelines for our ministry.
  • Should someone ask for prayer for physical healing, then explain first that you will invite them to place their hand on the part of their body where it is hurting. Then you will ask to place your hand gently on top of theirs.  This is respectful of all persons, even if you know them well.
  • Commit to coming to our whole team meetings, we are part of a team.  Communication, support, growing together ,encouraging one another and  precious time to allow The Lord to minister to you. We are offering ourselves as the channel NOT the source.
  • Please reply to Emails when asked for a reply. Communication is important.

Thank you again for serving in this way.  I know it’s a real blessing to be prayed for.
